What are Young Scholars Academy's hours of operation?

We operate from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM five days a week, 52 weeks a year.

Do I have to drop off and pick up my child at the same time every day?

At Young Scholars Academy, we understand that life happens. We offer flexible drop-off times. However, your child cannot be dropped off later than 10:30 AM.

Does my child have to go to the Academy five days a week or can they enroll in a part-time program?

Young Scholars Academy offers a five (5) day and three (3) day program. Please contact us to learn more.

How long has Young Scholars Academy been in operation?

The 10,000 sq. ft. facility was built in 2023. Opening its doors in the Fall of 2023

What curriculum program does the Young Scholars Academy follow?

For Infants (6 weeks) through 3 years of age, we follow the Learn Every Day® curriculum, and for children aged 4+, we follow Connect4Learing®. Both are from the Kaplan Early Learning Company.

Is Young Scholars Academy a 5-star rated early childhood learning center?

Because Young Scholars is brand new (2023) it has not yet earned a 5-star rating. However, the founders, owners, and operators of YSA have owned four other early childhood learning centers over the course of 15 years, and all of them have earned 5-star ratings.

What certifications and licensures do the staff and teachers hold at the Academy?

At a minimum, all teachers hold their NC Child Care Credential.

What are your child/caregiver and student/teacher ratios?

Infants 1:3, Toddlers 1:5, Twos, 1:8, Preschool Prep 1:9, Preschool 1:9, Pre-K 1:12

How do you communicate with parents and caregivers?

We use LineLeader® for daily communication. We also have in-person meetings and telephone and email communication as necessary.

Do you provide breakfast and lunch?

We offer an AM and PM snack along with a nutritious lunch.

Do you have any food restrictions if we choose to bring our child’s food into school?

We are a peanut-free facility.

Is there a nurse on staff?

No, however, our entire staff is trained in first aid and CPR.

What security measures do you have in place?

Do you have indoor and outdoor play areas?

We have a brand-new outdoor play area and a library. Our Library/Yoga Studio allows children to exercise when inclement weather conditions arise.

Can children with disabilities attend Young Scholars Academy?

Yes.
