Toddlers

Young Scholars Academy’s new facility offers learning spaces that allow Toddlers to move, explore, and learn! Children aged 12 months – 2 years are naturally curious and need opportunities to engage in various learning experiences. Our trained, certified, compassionate teachers and caregivers provide the secure relationships and responsiveness that Toddlers need to discover and explore in our new, safe, secure environment.

Discovery Through Play

Our teachers offer a learning environment with a range of activities to encourage language, thinking, and problem-solving. We follow the Toddler Learn Every Day® curriculum by Kaplan Early Learning Company, where quality instruction and free play work together to open a child’s eyes to discovery and learning.

At this age, children are achieving movement and physical milestones. Toddlers are exposed to objects of varying sizes and colors to develop their gross motor skills and associative skills. We provide close supervision and loving guidance every day, as we believe this is essential for growth and development.

Learning Communication

Toddlers are learning language and how to communicate. We encourage and reinforce communication growth through sensory, graphic, and interactive guidance at Young Scholars Academy. Daily, our teachers and caregivers provide loving support, meaningful exposure, and interaction with objects, sounds, and people.

Multi-sensory activities are introduced throughout a Toddler’s day to allow them to make associations and connections, which they will learn to verbalize as the year progresses. A Toddler’s communication skills will continue to grow throughout this developmental year as our devoted teachers and caregivers provide personalized and responsive support to each child. Our low teacher-toddler ratio ensures that each child receives the attention and nurturing they need to grow their minds and hearts daily!
