Why Young Scholars Academy?

Our new 10,000 sq. ft. facility provides an inviting, secure, modern, and interactive environment for children to learn and grow. Our indoor facilities and playground allow us to engage each child’s physical and cognitive skill sets as they learn through experience. Exposure to exercise and social situations develops the body and mind, fostering discovery, independence, and decision-making abilities.

Whether in a childcare room or our dedicated library, there will be a wealth of tactile engagement and social interaction for your child. Intellectual, physical, and social growth go hand in hand as young children become their best selves.

Our mission includes having an open-door policy and establishing a partnership with our families. Transparency and collaboration with our families are what we strive for. We want our parents to know we are an extension of their family because their children are an extension of ours.

Learning and growth do not stop when a child leaves Young Scholars Academy. Our daily communication with families through our LineLeader® app ensures everyone knows a child’s developmental milestones and everyday events at the center. We also encourage parents and caregivers to provide updates on matters at home that may impact a child’s day at the Academy.

The owners of Young Scholars Academy are retired New York City Detectives, and the security and well-being of the children attending the early childhood learning center are paramount.

In addition to locked doors and personnel stationed at the front desk, other measures are in place to safeguard your child. They include:

• Alarms on all doors
• Personalized key fobs issued to parents to gain entry to the building
• Proper identification required for access to the center
• Pick-ups only allowed by persons designated on the pick-up list
• Lockdown drills conducted at varying intervals
• Thorough background checks and fingerprints required for any personnel (including volunteers) working at the school
